  Since I"m spending three weeks in Escondido, I searched for a Church of Christ in the area. Since several denominations incorporate "church of Christ" in their names, I ended up at a Mormon church the first Sunday but quickly figured out my mistake. I hopped back in the car and I found this one. I was greeted by about a dozen people before services began. I found the congregation to be warm and friendly. I went back for Wednesday Bible study and returned today for Sunday morning worship. My first impressions were validated today. The worship is traditional and Christ centered. The minister, Randy speaks in a lyrical, intimate style that is engaging and memorable. If you are looking for the spirit of worship among God's people, you will find it there.

  The very first visit was actually so nice, I decided to come back. And yes sometimes there are not always greeters at the door, because there are three main doors. This is a church that is still growing and still organizing because there have been a lot of changes. But changes are a part of life and as long as the changes are for the growth of the Church and and the belief in our Lord and Savior. That can only be a good thing. All I know is, the love and the warmth and all the hugs I received made me feel WELLCOMED and like family. I now bring my whole family. And yes, there is bible study and children's services. Even the pastor makes you feel welcomed by letting everyone know, he is like all of us, we ALL need a relationship with GOD. It's not enough to just play church on Sunday's. The pastor (he prefers teacher) teaches the word with strong messages from the bible, a small dash of humor and relatable stories from life and history to help us to understand the written WORD better. The church also feeds the needy and homeless, a meal with the word, once a week and much much more. "Give them a try, they are really are a good Christian family church".

  Nothing went right.
  
  1. There were no greeters or people to help me when my family arrived. I saw a man out front and he ignored me. I asked him where bible classes were held and he pointed to the right and then directed me to the auditorium. I went in and was told that it was a cross the walkway. Not once did the two men I talked to introduced themselves or asked if I need directions or guidance. I went across the hall ad no one acknowledged me in the class even though I had 2 little ones. I finally asked for help and one lady tried to help me.
  
  2. NO bible classes for children or they were not in session due to the teacher being on vacation.
  
  3. I walked out to the parking lot as there was possibly a Spanish congregation assembling outside setting up chairs. NO one spoke. I asked a young an and woman about classes and she had no idea. She did not even know if the congregation was 1 or 2 divided into Spanish and English Services.
  
  Beware, their character does not resemble was is listed in their website. I was extremely disappointed when I visited. My family and I left because we could not get assistance. Maybe this was just a bad day and they really are a great group of people. I hope no other visitors have to experience this.

  They had a yard sale going on and wouldn't let me use the restroom not very Christian like shame on them. Also everyone but one person was rude!

  If this Church really wants to grow then they are going to have to make some major improvments in worship.
